19 - 25 April 2008, Taiwan

We flew off on Jetstar to Taipei at 1300hrs on 19 April. Reached at about 1740hrs and we went to take bus to Cosmos Hotel. 7 of us shared two rooms. After check-in, we went to have our dinner at Din Tai Feng. Then we went to Shihlin Market.

Early morning on 20 April, we took train to Hualien. We have a taxi/tour guide (Mr Tan), he brought us to Toroko National Park. Then we had our lunch (wild vegetables) and then continued our tour in Toroko. Mr Tan brought us to Hualien beach and then to the fish market for sashimi (raw fish). We had Pai Gu Noodles for dinner and then head to our Minsu (Shi Tou de Jia).

After breakfast, we continued our tour in Toroko National Park. Then we went up to He Huan Shan, it was very cold, about 7 degree. We reached NanTou, Sun Moon Lake. Checked in to our Minsu and went to see firefly. Then we went for dinner and head back to sleep.

On 22 April, we woke up early to go sight seeing at Sun Moon Lake. We took a yacht in the Sun Moon Lake. Went back for breakfast and get ready to go to Taichung.

Went back to Taipei via Taiwan High Speed Rail (Bullet train) on 23 April. Took bus to Yang Min Shan for Hot spring. Then went to Danshui.

24 April, after breakfast, we went to take train to Keelung Bus Terminal. From there we took a bus to Yehliu. After touring the Yehliu Geopark, we had seafood lunch before taking bus back to Keelung to take bus to Jiu Fen. Then we went to RuiFang station and transfer MRT to go to Wufenpu.

Last day of our trip liao. We had bread for breakfast then we went to GSK Taiwan office. After that we went to Taipei 101. Had last minute shopping then had lunch with my Taiwan friends. Rushed back to hotel and packed the last minute shopping stuff. Walked to the bus terminal to take bus to the airport.

Celebrated Dorothy's birthday on 18 April 2008

Told Dorothy that since I will be leaving for Taiwan the next day, we shall meet on 18 April. Actually, we planned to celebrate her birthday before I leave for Taiwan.

As usual, we din tell her about it. Jessica (fell sick and was on mc) went to buy a cake before meeting me after my work. We went to No. 5 Emerald Hill, told the waiter to keep the cake and told him to bring out the cake only after we ordered our food.

By the time Dorothy arrived, it was crowded and the waiter was busy. After we ordered our food, we waited very long. I went up to the waiter and told him to bring out the cake first. And so he brought the cake over and Dorothy was surprised.

12 April 2008, M1 Asia Challenge in Bintan

Our company participated in M1 Asia Challenge, 5 of our colleagues went to Bintan for the 3days event. 9 of us went to give our support on their last day.
